हिन्दी अनुवाद- मुझे पक्षियों की आवाज़ प्रिय है।
अतः भोर के समय,
मुझे पिल्लों की आवाज़ अच्छी लगती है।
ठीक उनके जन्म लेने के बाद की।
मुझे फूलों की सुगंध प्रिय है,
और मधुमक्खियों से प्राप्त शहद का स्वाद भी,
मुझे प्रिय है वो आवाज़ जो बहती हवा बनाती है,
जब वह पेड़ों के अन्दर से बहती है।

हिन्दी अनुवाद- मुझे प्रिय है जिस प्रकार से आकाश दिखता है,
एक उजले और धूपदार दिन में,
और जब बरसातें भी होती हैं।

मुझे महासागर की सुगंध प्रिय है।
रेत परे लहरों की आवाज़ भी,
मुझे समुद्र की सीपियों को छूना प्रिय है और
जैसे वे मेरे हाथ से दिखती हैं वह भी।
